about

CBR002

PolyDROID is an Irish electronic artist producing melodic, cinematic electronica, created using inorganic beats and vintage synth noises. With influences ranging from early German electronica,
John Carpenter soundtracks and Science Fiction Cinema,
right through to the current new wave of 80's influenced Cold Wave and Synthpop.

PolyDROID's sound is an exploration of bleeps, blips, arpeggiations, blistering synth riffs and swelling synth pads.
Having worked with a number of synth acts since the late 80’s, PolyDROID is the first solo outing for this Dublin based producer, who’s music is as much about the exploration ofelectronic sound as it is about crafting beautifully memorable melodies.

‘Machines of Pure and Loving Grace’ explores the concept of man losing his humanity to the machine. The idea that empathy and compassion, love and grace, may some day become the preserve of the artificial being, is the thread that runs through this collection
of brooding electronica.

When not twiddling the knobs of his vintage time machines, Brian O’Malley works full time as a film director. His debut feature film ‘Let Us Prey’ will be released 2014.
